My New Year’s Resolution
It’s that time of year when everyone vows to change. And a week later they’re back to the same lifestyle they had the previous year.
I want to change that. Er..I mean..WE want to change that.
I’ve teamed up with my health coach Cari Kamp. I hired Cari to help me train my caregivers and cooks how to make ketogenic and carnivore meals.
And we’ve had a lot of success. Sent some people home because they were too healthy to be in assisted living.
Helped several people lose between 70 and 230 lbs.
Put many cases of diabetes into remission.
Bedbound residents going into wheelchairs. Residents in wheelchairs walking with a walker. Some with canes or walkers able to start walking freely again.
Even seen cognitive improvement.
Those results have been great. But two problems have bugged us.
Since publicizing our program, we’ve received calls from all over (and outside) the country wondering when I would open a home in their area. I don’t want to do that.
Many of our residents have come to us after living with their chronic conditions for nearly a decade or longer. It's really tough to make a dramatic difference in those cases.
Even if we opened up more homes all over the country, we could still only help a small fraction of the people that need this help.
And let’s face it. People don’t want to move into assisted living when they are diagnosed with a chronic condition. They let their family take care of them. Until the condition becomes too hard to manage at home.
Cari and I want to help everyone we can. So we came up with an idea.
We create an online community for older adults. We call it “Thrive at YOUR Home”. Our mission is to keep everyone out of assisted living or nursing homes as long as we can.
Hopefully for their entire lives.
This way people can start changing their lifestyle as soon as they find out they have a chronic condition. Or even before they’re diagnosed.
Especially if their parents had dementia or Alzheimer’s and don’t want to have the same fate.
We’re not going to overwhelm you with the latest studies. We’re not going to bombard you with supplement recommendations that pay us the biggest commission.
What we will do is stay with you in the community. Cari will show you how to cook delicious meals for yourself or your beloved family member who is suffering. Meals that heal.
I’ll cover other things you can do. Exercise. Saunas. Red light. Hyperbaric oxygen. Sleep hacks. Cognitive improvement drills. We’ll also bring in experts who have helped us improve the lives of others. So you can learn from them. And from other members who are going through what you’re going through.
This is a lifestyle change community. A support group that does so much more than go on sponsored walks to raise money for pharmaceutical companies.
The community includes courses, demos and Q&A sessions with us and other experts to work with people to see if we can heal them or their family members.
Many chronic conditions are caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. It just makes sense that changing that lifestyle should change the disease progression.
We want people committed to change. That’s why we have a $5,000 price tag for 6 months in the community. We’re making a big commitment to you and you are to us.
Six months should be enough time to develop new habits. It may seem expensive. But it costs less than one month in the vast majority of assisted living facilities.
We will push you, challenge you, support you and celebrate your success.
After 6 months we’ll drop the membership fee significantly to a much smaller amount if you want to stay. We’re hoping you do.
