A Success Story
We had another person move back home recently. He came to us with mild cognitive decline that was rapidly turning into dementia. This one happened pretty quickly. That happens some times.
A Mind for All Seasons has had the same experience. They have had people turn around quickly once they identified a specific problem.
They had a woman that was wheelchair bound and very forgetful turn around once they cleaned up a bunch of oral infections.
Another woman improved her memory significantly once they discovered she had been breathing gasoline fumes from old gas cans in a shed in the back yard for years. They managed to detox her of the bad fumes.
In our case we had a man come to us from out of state. The amazing part is that he had been showing signs of dementia for the past 10 years but was in relatively good shape. You could have a conversation with him. He would just forget certain aspects of what you were talking about.
For instance, I picked his wife and him up at the airport and drove them to my assisted living home. When we arrived at the home he asked:
“Why are we at this place?”
He had been working with an Nurse Practitioner in Texas named Dr Gina Pritchard for the past 10 years. Although her background is in cardiology, she helps people treat the whole body. After all, all the systems in our bodies are connected.
She deserves a ton of kudos for helping this 83 year-old man keep his dementia in check and prevent it from progressing for so long.
When he arrived at our home, his wife told us to do the full treatment. He would be willing to work with us.
So that’s what we did:
At first we tested him using a MoCA test. He scored a 22 out of 30 indicating mild cognitive impairment (20 or below is indicative of dementia)
He started eating a very low-carb, ketogenic diet
Every day we would have him exercise using either an X3 bar or vigorous walking in our neighborhood or back yard. Many days he would do both
Exercise with Oxygen Therapy sessions 4-5 times a week
Red light therapy sessions each day
Saunas at least 4 times a week
Drinking hydrogen water 3 times a day
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at an outside facility 5-6 days a week
I believe what really tipped the scale was the hyperbaric oxygen therapy. In a little over 4 weeks, there was a noticeable difference in the man’s cognition. He scored a 24 for on his MoCA test which is very close to the normal range.
He was remembering events that happened the previous week and telling me about them. The caregivers were seeing the change in his memory as well.
His family noticed a big difference. When they talked to him on the phone, they had the same experience as we did. Here is a text I his wife sent to Nurse Gina and myself:

I had the privilege of taking him to the airport and sending him back home a couple of weeks ago. He was with us a little over a month. Is it too soon? Maybe. But we have him set up with a hyperbaric oxygen center near his home. His wife is learning all about how to prepare ketogenic meals. They are buying a hydrogen water machine and an exercise with oxygen device to work out.
They promised to keep me updated. I will be praying for him. We’re so happy for his success. I hope we can do the same for others now.
