A Paradise for Parents Update - August 18th, 2024

Hello Paradise for Parents Family,

I know it’s been a long time since I sent out an email. The hot summer months are a slow period for activities.

The good news is we are now in ‘Monsoon Season’. Pretty soon the temperatures will start to come down and we will be able to go outside more. We will then start to look at scheduling more activities.

Something I wanted to run by all of the families is a voluntary program to teach English to American citizens in the United States who are learning our language.

I found a company who provides virtual English classes to students. The teachers don’t need any degrees. Just a willingness to talk to people and help them learn the language.

You can see the video above to learn more about it. For those with loved ones who can do it, we’d love to have them make new friends and help someone learn English who might be struggling.

The only cost is that we ask people to pay a little for the tablets to do the virtual meetings. We will try to minimize the number we purchase. The lessons are held twice a week at different times so we can share tablets. We can buy some from Amazon for around $50 I believe.
