What Do You Think of This?

I’ve noticed at my assisted living homes that a lot of families are thrust into the senior-care world without any real guidance on what to do.

Their Mom falls and breaks her hip.

Then goes to the hospital.

The doctor says “she will need 24/7 care from now on”.

Oh and by the way, your Mom needs to be out of the hospital day after tomorrow. They need the bed and her insurance won't cover a longer stay.

Prior to the fall everything was rosy. Mom was living on her own. Or with Dad. The kids had their own life. Maybe they have children of their own.

Then everyone’s world is turned upside down.

“Can the hospital just discharge Mom like that? She doesn’t seem ready. And boy they loaded her up with drugs. Does the treatment make sense?

How are we going to find a great place to help Mom and care for her?”

So many questions. I’m trying to put together a lot of answers. I’m working with a marketing guy to target these families and help them with products that can produce the best outcomes for care for their elderly parents.

We are in the initial stages of trying these out. I was wondering if you could take a look? I’ve put together a group of resources to help families struggling with hospitals, insurance and assisted living.

Later on I hope to put together a full-blown course in how to take care of a loved one at home, avoid the need for a nursing home, and hopefully heal them up naturally. The trouble is that Facebook where we are advertising doesn’t like to talk about products that involve improving your health.

So we’re focusing on other aspects of caregiving first.

We’re starting small. For just $37, you’ll receive videos of my insurance broker talking about how you can save a lot of money and headache by picking the right health insurance coverage. It’s easy to make mistakes here. He goes through how to potentially save thousands in hospital, dental, hearing and other healthcare costs.

I also interview a friend who was a social worker for 40+ years. She knows all the ins and outs of  hospital administration and how to really advocate for your loved one. Her methods have helped thousands of families navigate hospitals and fight back against unwanted treatments.

There are also some bonuses with this product, including:

  • A guide to picking the right assisted living home if the hospital only gives you 48 hours or less before discharge. It’s a good checklist for what to look for in an assisted living home even if you have more time

  • A 30 day cookbook put together by the cooks in our assisted living homes

  • An hour long video on how to organize everything so you can care for your parents but still have a life

If these resources would be helpful to you, go to CareCostCode.com to learn more. If choose to purchase the product, I would love to have your feedback. And any other information you believe I could cover as I try to help families who are struggling. Thank you.
